Having read some of the reviews before we travelled out I was extremely excited about our stay but it is safe to say my expectations were exceeded on every level! The villa is superb with stunning views and a fantastic pool, our every need was catered for by Lisa & Tsampikos the owners who made sure that our stay was as comfortable and ran as smoothly as possible. The villa was always immaculate and exactly as shown and described in the tripadvisor page as well as the website. The beach is only two steps from your pool and the the resort of Kiotari, which has plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and a few bars is only 10 minutes walking. The locals are all really friendly and there are plenty of activities and trips on offer (I can recommend WaterPark, the FISHING adventure, and the boat trip to the Symi Island. I stayed with a group of six family members that included young children, a teenager, adults, and a slightly older relative (who hopefully isn’t reading this) and we all had an amazing time. We are already saving our pennies and planning the next trip!
First, let me confirm the description and pictures are 100% accurate. If anything, they understate the elegance and quality of the property. The owners clearly care about making the experience top-tier and succeed in every way. One of our favorite aspects of the property is not even shown or highlighted in the description – we found a wonderful outdoor BBQ that became the center of many evenings during our two week stay. The pool, patio and accommodation – while fairly depicted – exceeded our expectations (larger, nicer and better maintained than the pictures suggest!!) The intangibles are a bit harder to express. While a car is essential, given the relative remoteness of the villa – after a couple of days we figured out that 100% of everything we need (food, wine, bread etc.) could be found in the local village – a short 5 min. drive away. And again.. the intangibles of the village are hard to describe.. After a couple of days (and the very generous introduction of the owner of us to EVERYONE in the village) we felt like family – not tourists – in a great little greek village (LARDOS). When we didn’t use the outdoor kitchen, we spent our evenings in the village restaurants having whatever speciality the owners happened to cook for their family and friends that evening. If you are looking for a beautiful, traditional, quiet villa – with an owner that absolutely cares about your group having a wonderful vacation – this is the villa for you.
